The EU Regulation provides and encourages the establishment of mechanisms for the certification of the protection of personal data, as well as seals and trademarks, in order to demonstrate the conformity of the treatments carried out by the Holders and by the Data Processors. In this context, Accredia will have the task of certifying the competence and adequacy of the bodies that will request it in order to certify the privacy protection services with greater guarantees.
It is with this understanding that in the collaboration between the Guarantor for the protection of personal data and Accredia the agreement was signed in recent days (document 9099622) aimed at facilitating the exchange of information on these activities, as well as enhancing mutual skills.
ACCREDIA is the single national accreditation body designated by the Italian Government, with the task of certifying the competence, impartiality and independence of the laboratories and bodies that verify the conformity of products, services and professionals to the reference standards, facilitating their international circulation.
